A Pub with a Past – and Plenty of Heart
The Half Moon Inn has stood proudly in the village of Clyst St Mary for centuries – quenching the thirst of travellers, locals, and the occasional wandering poet since the 17th century (or thereabouts – the records are a bit foggy, like a proper pint of cider!).
Clyst St Mary itself is a picturesque Devon village with a charming mix of old cottages, rolling countryside, and a warm community spirit. We’re just outside Exeter, but it feels a world away – the perfect spot to relax, refuel, and reconnect.
Over the years, the pub has been many things to many people – a meeting place, a resting stop, and a home away from home. Today, we keep that tradition alive with good food, comfy rooms, and a warm welcome, every single time.
